Dr. Melissa Baysari is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University. She is a human factors researcher experienced in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations of health information technology. Melissa has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in Australian and international journals and books and secured over $2 million (AUD) in research funding in the area of health technology evaluation. Overall, her research has delivered new knowledge to ensure that decision support systems are both effective in improving hospital prescribing and are compatible with the needs, preferences and established workflow of hospital staff.
What does the conference theme “Do More” mean to you?
Instead of doing more, maybe we should just do what we do better?
Why you are excited about participating in MM2017?
I’m excited because this will be my first SHPA Conference!
Where do you see pharmacy in 10 years?
More automated. I’m not yet sure if that is a good or bad thing.
