Rahul was appointed Associate Director of Pharmacy at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in October 2016. Prior to that, he trained as a pharmacist and has worked at Princess Royal University Hospital and Barts Health NHS Trust, and was a Clinical Fellow to the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer at NHS England in 2015/16. In September 2016, Rahul authored the first national report, which set out how seven day acute hospital pharmacy services could be strengthened.
In his current role he is responsible for leading a programme of work that will systematically transform and improve the way pharmacy services are delivered at the trust, and across South East London. This involves working collaboratively with partners from across different organisations to improve, integrate and innovate pharmacy services and deliver high-quality, sustainable services as efficiently as possible. Rahul is currently a fellow at the Health Foundation as part of the Generation Q Programme, which is focused on leading quality improvement in health care organisations.
