Michael Barras has been a hospital pharmacist for 25 years. He is currently the Deputy Director of Pharmacy (Clinical) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (0.8) in Brisbane and a Research conjoint at the School of Pharmacy, University of Qld (0.2). He sits on SHPA’s NTRC steering committee and is chair of the Research Grants Sub-committee. His research interests focus predominantly on medication safety, in particular anti-coagulation and the dose individualisation of drugs in at-risk patients such as the elderly, renally impaired and obese.
