Andreia Bruno is a Lecturer/Project Manager in the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety (CMUS), Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University, since February 2017.
Previously, Dr Bruno was the Project Coordinator and Researcher in the International Pharmaceutical Federation Education (FIPEd) a post she held from 2011 to 2017. Dr Bruno was also the Technical Lead for Professional Development in the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society, from 2014 to 2017, her areas of responsibility encompassed the development of competency-based frameworks.
Dr Bruno provides editorial support to the Pharmacy Education Journal, as an Associate Editor.
Dr Bruno doctoral thesis is entitled ‘The Feasibility, Development and Validation of a Global Competency Framework (GbCF) for Pharmacy Education’, where the focus were competency based approaches towards professional development and pharmaceutical services.
What does the conference theme “Do More” mean to you?
It mean we must ‘Do more’ sharing and collaborating across all settings and across the pharmaceutical workforce.
Why are you excited about participating in MM2017?
It is will be my first attending and from the programme it looks like there will be fantastic opportunities to learn, share and connect across pharmacy fields.
Where do you see pharmacy in 10 years?
A more patient centred practice within a team based-care approach.
