Associate Professor Amanda Walker is a Senior Staff Specialist in Palliative Medicine in South Western Sydney LHD. She also works as a Senior Clinical Advisor at the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare and is a Conjoint Associate Professor at the Western Sydney University School of Medicine.
What does the conference theme “Do More” mean to you?
It means doing more to improve the care we provide. It is all about patients to me.
Why are you excited about participating in MM2017?
I’m excited to speak about a high profile emerging area of clinical practice.
Where do you see pharmacy in 10 years?
I see hospital pharmacists working less in the pharmacy / dispensary and more on the ward as vital integrated members of the clinical team providing face to face patient care.
